Clifford Chance strengthens Corporate practice with three new partners

Clifford Chance has appointed 25 new partners effective 1 May 2015.

In Germany, the Firm strengthens its Corporate practice by appointing three new partners. The total number of partners globally will thus be increased to 581 with 73 partners working at the German offices in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt and Munich.

The new partners in Germany are:

• Dr. Mathias Elspaß (Corporate/Energy, Düsseldorf)

• Dr. Jörg Rhiel (Corporate/M&A, Frankfurt)

• Dr. Christian Vogel (Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf)

Dr. Mathias Elspaß advises national and international clients in the energy and infrastructure sectors. He focuses on environment and planning law as well as on public commercial law. He advises companies in the context of planning and approval procedures for complex industry and infrastructure projects as well as on environmental risks in the context of transactions.

Dr. Jörg Rhiel advises a broad variety of clients on national and international transactions, in particular on the sale and acquisition of companies, on joint ventures and restructurings.

Dr. Christian Vogel advises German and international clients on takeover law, on company sales, joint ventures and restructurings. In addition, he advises on aspects of stock corporations law and corporate law, in the context of general meetings, corporate governance issues and the liability of management or supervisory bodies as well as in the context of corporate law-related disputes.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance ernennt zum 1. Mai 2015 weltweit 25 neue Partner.

In Deutschland verstärkt die Sozietät den Bereich Corporate mit der Ernennung von drei neuen Partnern. Die Gesamtzahl der Partner erhöht sich damit weltweit auf 581. An den drei deutschen Standorten Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main und München sind künftig 73 Partner tätig.

Die neuen Partner in Deutschland sind:

· Dr. Christian Vogel (Corporate/M&A, Düsseldorf)

Dr. Mathias Elspaß berät nationale und internationale Mandanten im Energie- und Infrastrukturbereich. Der Schwerpunkt seiner Arbeit liegt im Umwelt- und Planungsrecht sowie im öffentlichen Wirtschaftsrecht. Er berät Unternehmen in Planungs- und Genehmigungsverfahren für komplexe Industrie- und Infrastrukturprojekte sowie bei umweltrechtlichen Risiken in Transaktionen.

Dr. Jörg Rhiel berät ein breites Spektrum von Mandanten bei nationalen und internationalen Transaktionen, insbesondere beim Kauf- und Verkauf von Unternehmen, Joint Ventures und Umstrukturierungen.

Dr. Christian Vogel berät deutsche und ausländische Mandanten im Übernahmerecht, bei Unternehmenskäufen, Joint Ventures und Umstrukturierungen. Daneben ist er im Aktienrecht und im sonstigen Gesellschaftsrecht tätig und berät bei Hauptversammlungen, Fragen zur Corporate Governance und Haftung der Geschäftsführungs- und Aufsichtsorgane sowie bei gesellschaftsrechtlichen Auseinandersetzungen.
