Clifford Chance advises EOS Venture on the creation of the first crowd-equity platform in France to be approved as an investment services provider
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised EOS Venture for the creation of the first crowd-equity platform to be authorized in France as an investment services provider (ISP).
According to a joint press release from the Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Secretary of State for the Digital Economy, the launch of the first crowd-equity solution "supports the Government's strategy which aims to facilitate the development of new crowd-funding companies through the creation of the status of crowd-funding advisor (CIP), for the purpose of developing this market, and which will enable them to expand to a larger scale by using the ISP status".
The Clifford Chance team was comprised of Frédérick Lacroix (partner), Sébastien Praicheux (Counsel) and Hélène Kouyaté (associate) for banking and financial regulatory issues and of Sue Palmer (Counsel) for corporate law issues.
