Clifford Chance advises BAML and Clayton Dubilier & Rice acquisition B&M Stores stake

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance announces it is advising Clayton Dubilier & Rice and Bank of America Merrill Lynch in relation to the purchase of a significant stake in leading UK variety retailer, B&M Stores. B&M, owned by the Arora family, is one of the UK’s leading discount retailers with stores situated in the north of England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. The deal is believed to be one of the biggest Private Equity deals in Europe this year. Bank of America Merril Lynch provided financing support for the acquisition.

The Clifford Chance team advising Clayton Dubilier & Rice was led by London head of Corporate and Private Equity specialist Partner, Simon Tinkler with support from senior associate Graham Harrison.
