Clifford Chance Promotes White Collar Crime Specialist, Judith Seddon

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance announces it has promoted Judith Seddon to Director, Business Crime and Regulatory Enforcement in the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice.

‪Judith's appointment is in response to the increased demand from the firm's clients for expertise in this area as a result of the increasing focus by regulators and governmental authorities on criminal investigation powers.

Judith brings a unique skill set given her background and experience in representing individuals and companies facing regulatory investigations and criminal proceedings brought by prosecuting authorities for a range of serious criminal offences, including corruption and fraud.

Jeremy Sandelson, Global Head of Litigation explained, "Clifford Chance's Global Regulatory Investigations and Financial Crime Group has been a success for many years. With regulators becoming increasingly aggressive and criminal investigations on the increase, Judith has brought a vital and complementary skill set and perspective to the group, which has enhanced the strength and depth of expertise we can offer to clients. We are delighted to promote Judith to this new role and wish her many congratulations."

Clifford Chance’s Global Regulatory Investigations and Financial Crime Group is an integrated international team of specialist lawyers and forensic accountants whose practice focuses on regulatory and compliance issues. The firm's global network provides a foundation for handling major cross-border matters, and in recent years we have handled some of the world’s most complex and far reaching international investigations.

This cross-border team cover the key areas of potential regulatory and criminal liability for members of the business community, including corruption, antitrust, money laundering, fraud, insider trading, export controls and international economic sanctions.
