SEC Provides Updated Guidance on Use of Non-GAAP Financial Measures

In May 2016, the SEC staff released an updated set of compliance and disclosure interpretations to address compliance issues under Regulation G and Item 10(e) of Regulation S-K.  The publication of this guidance follows several months of signaling in speeches by various SEC officials about impending SEC actions to address misleading or confusing uses of non-GAAP financial measures.
