UAE Commercial Companies Law: What have we learned?

The UAE Commercial Companies Law (Federal Law No. 2 of 2015) (the CCL) entered into force on 1 July 2015, replacing Federal Law No. 8 of 1984.

A number of key changes were brought about by the enactment of the CCL, which introduced new legal concepts into the UAE's corporate framework and impacted established market practices.
