Overview of US Margin Requirements for Uncleared Swaps

On October 22, 2015, the Board of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency approved the text of a final rule that will impose minimum margin requirements for uncleared swaps that involve swap dealers and major swap participants regulated by US bank regulators.
