Clifford Chance Amsterdam advises SwifterwinT op Land on project financing of the 207 MW onshore wind farm (part of Windplanblauw)
Clifford Chance has advised SwifterwinT op Land since 2019 on the project financing of Windplanblauw, a wind farm in the northwest of Flevoland in the municipalities of Dronten and Lelystad. SwifterwinT op Land is working on the development of Windplanblauw together with Vattenfall. The current 74 wind turbines in the project area will be replaced by 61 larger, more powerful turbines. These new turbines will generate four times more energy than the current ones, producing enough electricity for the total electricity consumption of around 400,000 households.
The Clifford Chance core team that advised SwifterwinT op Land consisted of Mike Niekoop, Nanette Rutgers, Rutger Dekker, Chris Verheesen and Hein Tonnaer. Liesbeth Buiter, Thomas Heijerman, Carlijn Tenge, Bart van Hattum, Charlotte Horsten, Moussa Louizi, Philip Walsh and Priyanka Paunrana were also involved.
