Clifford Chance advises CVC on proposed investment in Indonesia's PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI)
Global law firm Clifford Chance is advising CVC Capital Partners on the international aspects of its proposed investment in Indonesia exchange listed PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI). The transaction is expected to involve a mandatory tender offer (MTO), under which CVC funds will acquire shares that are tendered by minority shareholders through the MTO.
Following the transaction, CVC will participate as a shareholder alongside the controlling shareholder of MAPI. MAPI is one of Indonesia's leading retail groups, with substantial operations across Indonesia and South East Asia.
The Clifford Chance deal team comprised private equity partner Tom Lin, senior associate David Ho and associates Denzyl Ang and Wenkai Lyu, together with a finance team comprising partners Matthew Truman, Charlotte Leung and Chin Seng Chew and associates Ken Li and Ivan Ting.
