Clifford Chance advises International Chemical Investors Group on the acquisition of Venator’s business operations in Duisburg
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised International Chemical Investors Group (“ICIG”), a privately owned industrial group, on the acquisition of the business activities of Venator Germany GmbH in Duisburg. Completion of the transaction is expected in early February 2026, subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities.
ICIG is a globally active industrial group focused on mid-sized chemical and pharmaceutical companies. The group most recently generated revenues of more than €3 billion and employs approximately 6,000 people worldwide. Since its founding in 2005, ICIG has grown through acquisitions, with a particular focus on acquiring niche specialists.

Die globale Anwaltskanzlei Clifford Chance hat die International Chemical Investors Group ("ICIG"), eine Industriegruppe in Privatbesitz, bei der Übernahme der Geschäftsaktivitäten der Venator Germany GmbH in Duisburg beraten. Der Abschluss der Transaktion ist nach Freigabe durch die zuständigen Wettbewerbsbehörden für Anfang Februar 2026 geplant.
ICIG ist eine weltweit agierende Industriegruppe mit Fokus auf mittelständischen Chemie- und Pharmaunternehmen. Insgesamt erzielte die Gruppe zuletzt einen Umsatz von mehr als €3 Milliarden und beschäftigt rund 6000 Mitarbeiter.
