Clifford Chance advises Partners Group on minority stake exit in Apex Logistics

Global law firm Clifford Chance is advising Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry, acting on behalf of its clients, on the sale of its 24.9% minority stake in Apex Logistics (Apex), a leading integrated global logistics solutions provider, to majority shareholder Kuehne+Nagel.

The transaction, which is expected to close in 2025, marks a full exit for Partners Group from its investment in 2021 and values Apex at an enterprise value of over US$4 billion.

Partner Bryan Koo led the transaction, with support from senior associate Cecilia Chan and associate Winky Su. Counsel Ivan Chan provided Singapore law support, and partner Edith Leung and counsel Chit Kwong advised on finance aspects of the transaction.

Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Singapore, Apex operates 48 sites worldwide, serving over 20,000 customers across more than 70 countries. Apex moved 420,000 tons of airfreight and 300,000 TEU of ocean freight in 2024.
