Clifford Chance advises EGERIA on the acquisition financing of Junge Die Bäckerei.
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised private equity investor EGERIA on the financing of the acquisition of Junge Die Bäckerei., the leading provider of bakery and quick-service food concepts in northern Germany, together with Junge Die Bäckerei.'s management. The closing of the acquisition is still subject to the usual approval by the relevant antitrust authorities.
With the transaction, EGERIA, with the continued support of the existing management and the Junge family, will support Junge die Bäckerei. to further expand the company’s presence in existing regions and selectively expand into new regions.
Junge Die Bäckerei., founded in Lübeck in 1897, is the leading provider of bakery and quick-service food concepts in northern Germany with almost 5,000 employees across 210 stores and three production facilities.
EGERIA is an independent pan-European investment company founded in 1997 that focuses on investments in healthy companies with an enterprise value of up to €500 million. EGERIA's private equity portfolio includes investments in more than 20 companies with a total turnover of around €2.5 billion and over 14,000 employees.
Clifford Chance regularly advises EGERIA on transactions, most recently on the acquisition of the SAP consultancy business Cpro in May this year.

Der Abschluss der Transaktion steht noch unter dem Vorbehalt der üblichen Zustimmung der zuständigen Kartellbehörden.
