Clifford Chance strengthens capital markets practice with experienced counsel

Global law firm Clifford Chance is strengthening its market-leading capital markets practice as of 1 March 2025 with the addition of counsel Dr. Henrik Gildehaus. The experienced capital markets lawyer is joining from Hengeler Mueller and will be based at the firm's Frankfurt office.

One focus of his work is advising on capital market-based financing through the issuance of bonds and structured investment products, including the issuance of hybrid bonds. He also advises companies and banks on IPOs, capital increases and private placements. In this context, he also advises on issues of stock corporation law.

At Clifford Chance, Henrik Gildehaus will strengthen the Capital Markets practice, which is part of the international Global Financial Markets practice group and advises on a wide range of financial products and transactions, in particular Eurobonds, EMTN and ECP programmes, certificates, convertible bonds, hybrid bonds, high yield and structured bonds and promissory notes, as well as on single and dual-track IPOs, capital increases including stock exchange listings, secondary issuances, Private placements (including U.S. Rule 144A), full SEC-registered offerings, ADRs/GDRs.

It was not until June 2024 that capital markets specialist Dr. Cristina Freudenberger joined the practice as a partner. Die globale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance verstärkt zum 1. März 2025 ihre marktführende Kapitalmarktpraxis mit Counsel Dr. Henrik Gildehaus. Der erfahrene Kapitalmarktrechtler kommt von Hengeler Mueller und wird vom Frankfurter Standort der Sozietät tätig sein.

Einen Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit bildet die Beratung zur kapitalmarktbasierten Finanzierung über die Emission von Anleihen und strukturierten Anlageprodukten, inklusive der Begebung von Hybridanleihen. Er begleitet ferner Unternehmen und Banken bei IPOs, Kapitalerhöhungen und Privatplatzierungen. In diesem Zusammenhang berät er auch zu Fragen des Aktienrechts.

Bei Clifford Chance verstärkt Henrik Gildehaus den Bereich Capital Markets, der zur internationalen Praxisgruppe Global Financial Markets gehört und zu verschiedensten Finanzprodukten und Transaktionen berät, insbesondere zu Eurobonds, EMTN- und ECP-Programmen, Zertifikaten, Wandelanleihen, Hybridanleihen, hochverzinslichen und strukturierten Anleihen sowie Schuldscheinen ebenso wie zu Single- und Dual-Track-IPOs, Kapitalerhöhungen einschließlich Börsennotierungen, Sekundäremissionen, Privatplatzierungen (einschließlich U.S. Rule 144A), vollständigen SEC-registrierten Angeboten, ADRs/GDRs.
