Clifford Chance advises the lenders on financing the acquisition of Digi's optical fibre network in Spain
Clifford Chance has advised the lenders Banco Santander, Natixis CIB, Société Générale and ING on the financing for the acquisition of Digi's FTTH network in Spain by a consortium comprising Macquarie Capital, abrdn and Arjun Infrastructure Partners.
The network will be operated by Onivia, Spain’s largest independent wholesale fibre platform and adds more than 4.25 million homes (with up to 1.75 million to be deployed in the next three years) to its current FTTH network offering.
The Clifford Chance team was led by Global Financial Markets Partner Eugenio Fernández-Rico and Counsel María Sabau, together with Counsel Carl Fitzgerald, Senior Associate James Rodier and associate Emma Price (advising on English law issues), as well as associate María Vispo (advising on Spanish law). Senior Counsel Roberto Grau advised on tax matters.

Clifford Chance ha asesorado a las entidades financieras Banco Santander, Natixis CIB, Société Générale e ING en la financiación de la adquisición de la red de fibra hasta el hogar (FTTH) de Digi en España por el consorcio integrado por Macquarie Capital, abrdn y Arjun Infrastructure Partners.
La red será operada por Onivia, el principal operador mayorista independiente de fibra óptica de España, y añadirá más de 4,25 millones de hogares (con hasta 1,75 millones hogares adicionales a desplegar en los próximos tres años) a su oferta actual de red FTTH.
