Clifford Chance advises syndicate of banks on multicurrency conventional and Islamic facilities for OQ Gas Networks

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised a syndicate of 16 Omani and regional banks on multicurrency conventional and Islamic facilities for OQ Gas Networks (OQGN), the exclusive owner and operator of the natural gas system in Oman. The transaction is expected to be one of the largest syndicated Islamic financings in Oman to date and gives OQGN access to Sharia-compliant and conventional financing facilities worth US$1.2 billion.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Graham Brewer with support from senior associate Angad Chaturvedi, associate Raad Gorji and trainee solicitor Meave Chapman.
