Clifford Chance advises on Hansoh Pharmaceutical's US$1 billion IPO

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance continues to advise on the most significant Hong Kong initial public offerings, with a cross-border team in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai advising on two recent listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.

The firm advised the underwriters led by Morgan Stanley, Citi, UBS, Goldman Sachs and China Merchant Securities as the Joint Global Coordinators on Hansoh Pharmaceutical's HK$7.9 billion (US$1 billion) listing, the second biggest in Hong Kong so far this year.

Partner Amy Lo led the cross-border team, with China Co-Managing Partner Tim Wang and partners Jean Thio, Liu Fang and Christine Xu. They were supported by a team consisting of counsel Hao Wu, senior associates Claire Cao, Sheng Chen and Queenie Tong, and associates Helen Huang and Emma Bao.

The firm also advised Haitong International Capital Limited, China International Capital Corporation Hong Kong Securities Limited, Citigroup Global Markets Asia Limited, and CMB International Capital Limited as the joint sponsors of the HK$2.3 billion (US$296 million) listing of financial leasing company Haitong UniTrust International Leasing Co., Ltd.

China Co-Managing Partner Tim Wang led on the deal, with partners Jean Thio and Virginia Lee. The team includes counsel Lorna Lyu, senior associate Janet Tang and associates Xuemei Wang and Emma Bao.
