Clifford Chance advised "FEF" in its minority stake investment in SFAM group
"FEF", the joint investment platform set up by CDC International Capital and Mubadala Investment Company, announced its acquisition of a minority stake in SFAM by way of a capital increase by the specialised insurer. This operation, intended to finance the growth of the group, follows a first round led by Ardian early 2018.
SFAM is a European leader in the design, distribution and management of a range of premium insurance solutions covering mobile phone products, multimedia and connected objects against breakage, loss and theft.
Clifford Chance advised FEF on this transaction with a team consisting of Fabrice Cohen, partner, Alexandre Merle, counsel, and Clément Delaruelle, associate, on M&A aspects, as well as Alexandre Lagarrigue, partner, and Romain Boisset, associate, on tax aspects.

« FEF », la plateforme commune d'investissement constituée par CDC International Capital et Mubadala Investment Company, a annoncé sa prise de participation minoritaire dans SFAM à l'occasion d'une augmentation de capital de l'assureur spécialisé. Cette opération, destinée à financer la croissance du groupe, fait suite à un premier tour de table emmené par Ardian début 2018.
SFAM est un leader européen dans la conception, la distribution et la gestion d’une gamme de solutions d’assurances premium couvrant les produits de téléphonie mobile, multimédia et les objets connectés contre la casse, la perte et le vol.
Clifford Chance a conseillé FEF sur cette opération avec une équipe composée de Fabrice Cohen, associé, Alexandre Merle, counsel, et Clément Delaruelle, collaborateur, sur les aspects M&A, ainsi que d'Alexandre Lagarrigue, associé, et Romain Boisset, collaborateur, sur les aspects fiscaux.
