Clifford Chance joins R3's Legal Centre of Excellence

The firm has entered into a collaboration with enterprise blockchain software firm R3 as part of its Legal Centre of Excellence (LCoE). The LCoE will enable Clifford Chance to gain unparalleled insights into the development and application of blockchain technology and its uses across the financial services industry and other areas of commerce, and to contribute our legal and regulatory knowledge and insight, each to the benefit of our clients.

R3 is working with a network of over 200 banks, financial institutions, regulators, trade associations, professional services firms and technology companies to develop Corda, its blockchain platform designed specifically for businesses. Our collaboration with R3 further demonstrates Clifford Chance's commitment to the Fintech sector, in which we have a market leading legal practice.
