Clifford Chance advises J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Indigo Invest on the acquisition of the Uniper HQ building in Düsseldorf

Clifford Chance has advised Indigo Invest and a fund managed by J.P. Morgan Asset Management on a joint venture with regard to the acquisition of the office building located at E.ON-Platz 1 in Düsseldorf. The property is being sold by the energy services company Uniper, which will continue to use the building as its headquarters until moving out during the course of 2018.

The building was designed by Oswald Mathias Ungers and completed in 2001. It offers a total lettable area of around 21,000 square metres and is located in central Düsseldorf. The property will be let to a new tenant once it has been vacated by Uniper.

The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Reinhard Scheer-Hennings (Düsseldorf) and comprised partner Cornelia Thaler (Frankfurt; advising on the joint venture agreement), associate Jonathan Klein and senior transaction lawyer Katrin Rötering (both Düsseldorf, all Real Estate).
