Clifford Chance advises Europcar on the acquisition of Goldcar
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised Europcar, the European leader in vehicle rental services and a major player in mobility markets, on the signature of an agreement with Investindustrial to acquire Goldcar, Europe’s largest low cost car rental company.
The acquisition is subject to customary conditions precedent, including its approval by antitrust authorities, and is expected to close in the second half of the year 2017.
With this strategic acquisition, the Europcar Group will increase its exposure to three major growth engines - the Mediterranean region, the leisure segment and the low cost segment – and will become a major player in the fast growing European low cost segment.

Le cabinet d'avocats d'affaires international Clifford Chance a conseillé Europcar, leader de la location de véhicules en Europe et acteur majeur de la mobilité, dans le cadre de la signature d’un accord avec Investindustrial pour l’acquisition de Goldcar, la plus importante société de location de véhicules low-cost en Europe.
L’acquisition reste soumise à des conditions suspensives usuelles, y compris l’autorisation des autorités de la concurrence, et devrait être réalisée au cours du second semestre 2017.
