Clifford Chance advises Rocket Internet on successful closing of RICP fund with USD 1.0 billion in commitments
Clifford Chance has advised Rocket Internet on the successful closing of its Rocket Internet Capital Partners (RICP) fund at the hard cap of USD 1.0 billion. The fund invests in market-leading, high growth Internet related businesses. This makes it Europe's largest fund focused on the internet sector.
RICP seeks to invest in key focus areas of the internet sector including marketplaces, e-commerce, financial technology and software. The fund received strong backing from a diverse group of global investors, including financial institutions, pension funds, asset managers, foundations and high net worth individuals.
The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Sonya Pauls and comprised senior associate Fionnuala O'Brien and associate Michael Gilmour (all Corporate/Private Equity, Munich) as well as partner Joëlle Hauser and counsel Jacques Schroeder (both Corporate/Investment Funds, Luxembourg).

RICP investiert in Internetunternehmen mit Geschäftsmodellen unter anderem aus den Bereichen Marktplatz, E-Commerce, Finanztechnologie und Software. Der Fonds erhielt Zusagen von vielfältigen Investoren weltweit, darunter Finanzinstitute, Pensionskassen, Asset-Manager, Stiftungen und vermögende Privatpersonen.
