Clifford Chance marks Gay Pride with ninth annual international LGBT Art Exhibition
Clifford Chance is celebrating Gay Pride with an international series of exhibitions showcasing the work of some of the best lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) and supporter artists at its offices in Amsterdam, London, Hong Kong, New York and, for the first time, Paris, Sydney and Washington D.C.
Organised by Arcus, the firm's LGBT and allies employee network, the London strand of the exhibition is called The Small Things Matter and features the paintings of Peter Jones and, at the opening reception, the Los Angeles based artist Aleesa Cohene's short film Like Like will be premiered in the UK.
Clifford Chance senior partner Malcolm Sweeting comments: "We are delighted to be helping to celebrate this pivotal moment in the history of the gay rights movement. Hosting our Annual Pride Art Exhibitions is just one element of Clifford Chance's commitment to fostering an inclusive work environment and I'm proud that we are once again expanding our Pride activities with new exhibitions across the network."
"We work hard to ensure that people are comfortable being themselves, so that they can do their best work and provide our clients with the outstanding service they expect."
Michael Petry, artist and founding curator of the London exhibitions, adds: "This year's Pride Art exhibition in London will focus on the work of a smaller number of selected artists than in previous years, as we move to work with the new gallery space at Clifford Chance. I hope that the new format will enable visitors to more fully enjoy the work and be as much of a vital contribution to celebrating Gay Pride as our previous shows."
The exhibition series will formally launch in all offices with receptions during Pride Week.
