Clifford Chance adds leading maritime partners Gervais Green and Kate Sherrard to Finance practice

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance announced today that partners Gervais Green and Kate Sherrard will join its Singapore office to bolster its maritime, offshore and project finance offering.

Having them join us in Singapore, an international hub for offshore oil and gas and LNG shipping, represents a significant enhancement of our global capability."

Gervais and Kate will build on the successful maritime and offshore practice in Asia Pacific established by partner Alastair MacAulay who joined the firm in Hong Kong in 2013. They will also be working closely with Global Co-Head of the Worldwide Project Group based in Singapore, partner Nicholas Wong. Gervais is expected to start in April and Kate is expected join the office in September.

Gervais is a senior asset finance partner and has advised on a wide range of projects including limited recourse project financings for the offshore oil and gas and shipping sectors for LNG vessels, FPSO's, FSO's and drilling and production rigs. Previously he was at Norton Rose Fulbright based in Singapore.

Kate has nearly 10 years of experience advising on financing and cross-border insolvency and restructuring matters in the shipping and offshore oil and gas sectors in South East Asia. She is also from Norton Rose Fulbright in Singapore.
