Clifford Chance Prague elects new Counsel
The Prague office of Clifford Chance is pleased to announce the promotion of senior finance associates Jindřich Arabasz and Miloš Felgr to the position of Counsel with effect from 1 May 2014. The status of Counsel has been developed within the firm to recognise excellent contributions by senior lawyers and their potential for partnership.
Jindřich joined the Prague office of Clifford Chance in 2005. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University in 2003, and was admitted to the Czech Bar Association in 2006. Although he advises on banking and finance and associated corporate and real estate law, his specialism is restructuring and insolvency, a legal area in which he is recognised as a leading lawyer in the Czech Republic.
Jindřich has been instrumental in raising the profile of the office's restructuring and insolvency practice, which is recognised by independent benchmarking publications as a market leading, Tier 1 practice. At the Czech epravo awards last November the practice was named 'Restructuring & Insolvency Law Firm of the Year' for the second time in 3 years.
Miloš joined the Prague office of Clifford Chance in 2002. He graduated from the Law Faculty of Charles University in 2003, and was admitted to the Czech Bar Association in 2006. In 2007 and 2008, he was seconded to the Banking Department of Clifford Chance London. He advises on banking and finance law, pre-insolvency restructuring, capital markets, aircraft and energy law.
Miloš is a core member of the office's banking and finance practice, which has been consistently ranked in the top tier for several years. He is singled out for his ability in banking and finance by a number of legal directories. Chambers Europe quotes a client as saying he "really stands out, as he is well established with the banks and ensures the whole process runs smoothly." The Legal 500 identifies Miloš as a ‘rising star’ who ‘understands banks’.
Alex Cook, newly elected managing partner of the Prague office, commented: "Both Miloš and Jindřich are outstanding lawyers, exactly who we need to help us develop our finance, restructuring and insolvency practices even further. I am delighted with their promotions and I am confident that they will continue to develop and excel".
