Dr. Peter Dieners appointed Head of Corporate at Clifford Chance Germany
Dr. Peter Dieners (51) has been elected Head of the Corporate practice at Clifford Chance Germany by his Corporate partners peers. He will serve a four-year term commencing on 1 January 2014. He succeeds Dr. Arndt Stengel who has headed the practice since 2010.
Peter has been a partner at the Clifford Chance's Düsseldorf office since 1997. Peter leads the Global "Healthcare, Life Sciences & Chemicals Group" and is acknowledged as one of Germany's most pre-eminent experts in advising pharmaceutical and medical device companies. Aside from being a healthcare expert, Peter is also a leading expert in commercial and compliance matters, including investigations and corporate governance. Peter also acts for various trade associations in devising and implementing industry codes of conduct at an EU and national level.
Dr. Arndt Stengel will be switching the focus of his work to Munich at the end of the year. He is one of Germany's leading corporate and restructuring advisors. He mainly advises listed companies, investment banks and financial investors on equity and capital markets law issues.

Die Partner des Rechtsbereichs Corporate von Clifford Chance in Deutschland haben Dr. Peter Dieners (51) zu ihrem neuen Leiter gewählt. Er wird dieses Amt zum 1. Januar 2014 antreten; die Amtszeit beträgt vier Jahre. Er folgt damit auf Dr. Arndt Stengel, der den Bereich seit 2010 geleitet hat.
Dr. Peter Dieners ist seit 1997 Partner im Düsseldorfer Büro von Clifford Chance. Er leitet die weltweite Industriegruppe Healthcare, Life Sciences & Chemicals und gehört zu den renommiertesten deutschen Rechtsberatern von Unternehmen der pharmazeutischen und medizintechnologischen Industrie. Über den Healthcare Sektor hinaus ist Dr. Peter Dieners ein anerkannter Spezialist für die Beratung zu Compliance-Programmen und -Untersuchungen sowie auf dem Gebiet Corporate Governance. Daneben unterstützt er diverse Industrieverbände bei der Erarbeitung und Umsetzung von Industrie-Kodices auf nationaler und europäischer Ebene.
Dr. Arndt Stengel wird zum Jahresende den Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit in das Münchener Büro von Clifford Chance verlagern. Er gehört zu den in Deutschland führenden Beratern bei Unternehmenstransaktionen und Umstrukturierungen und berät vorwiegend börsennotierte Gesellschaften, Investmentbanken und Finanzinvestoren im Aktien- und Kapitalmarktrecht.
