Clifford Chance advises on the sale of the Frankfurt "Skyper" complex to Allianz Real Estate
Clifford Chance advised a UBS fund on the sale of the Frankfurt "Skyper" complex to Allianz Real Estate. The property has a total area of around 54,100 m² and comprises a 38-storey office block, a six-level commercial/retail building and the historical Holzmann Villa. The parties have agreed not to disclose any details of the purchase price.
The Skyper's main tenants are the Deutsche Bundesbank, Deka and HSBC.
The Clifford Chance team was led by partner Jörn Stobbe FRICS and comprised partner Dr. Gerold Jaeger, associate Dr. Philipp Stoecker (all Real Estate, Frankfurt) and partner Thorsten Sauerhering (Tax, Frankfurt).
The Skyper sale is the third real estate transaction where Clifford Chance has acted for this UBS fund, coming after the sale of the "Alkmene" office building in Frankfurt and the Altstadt-Palais in Munich. Clifford Chance is also providing legal advice on asset management for all the properties in this particular UBS fund.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat einen Fonds der UBS beim Verkauf des Immobilienensembles "Skyper" im Frankfurter Bankenviertel an die Allianz Real Estate beraten. Das rund 54.100 Quadratmeter große Objekt an der Taunusanlage 1 umfasst neben einem Bürohochhaus mit 38 Etagen ein sechsgeschossiges Büro- und Retailgebäude sowie die frühere Villa Holzmann. Über den Verkaufspreis haben die Parteien Stillschweigen vereinbart.
Hauptmieter des "Skyper" sind die Deutsche Bundesbank, der Fondsanbieter Deka und die Großbank HSBC.
Das Beratungsteam von Clifford Chance unter Federführung von Partner Jörn Stobbe FRICS bestand aus Partner Dr. Gerold Jaeger, Associate Dr. Philipp Stoecker (alle Real Estate, Frankfurt) und Partner Thorsten Sauerhering (Tax, Frankfurt).
Der Verkauf von "Skyper" ist bereits die dritte Immobilientransaktion, bei der Clifford Chance den Fonds der UBS begleitet hat. Auch beim Verkauf des Frankfurter Bürohauses "Alkmene" sowie beim Verkauf des Altstadt-Palais in München war die Sozietät beratend tätig. Außerdem übernimmt sie die rechtliche Begleitung des Assetmanagements aller Fondsobjekte dieses Fonds der UBS.
