Clifford Chance announces new office managing partner for Moscow
Partners in the Moscow office of leading international law firm Clifford Chance have elected Logan Wright as Managing Partner from 1 January 2013. Logan will succeed Jan ter Haar, who has been Managing Partner in Russia since 2009. Logan has been elected to serve a four-year term, with the handover to be completed by the end of this year.
Logan is a Moscow-based Banking and Finance partner who acts for both banks and borrowers on all forms of cross-border financings into Russia and the CIS, including debt restructurings and work-outs. He has been with Clifford Chance in Russia since 2000, and has been a partner since 2006. Logan will continue to work closely with clients alongside his new leadership responsibilities.
Outgoing Managing Partner, Jan ter Haar said, "Logan has deep knowledge of the Russian market and the right leadership skills to develop further our existing strong position in the Moscow and the wider Russian market. The breadth of our expertise across practice areas makes us ideally suited to serve both our international and our important local clients in the Russian market. I wish the office and Logan every success".
Logan Wright said, "I am delighted to be asked to take on this role, and will seek to build on the momentum achieved under Jan's leadership, which has been pivotal to the office's success in recent years in the face of a challenging and uncertain market. I look forward to working with the other Moscow partners, and colleagues around our global network, as we continue to reinforce our reputation as the leading international law firm in Russia."
