Simon Greenberg is appointed as a member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration
Simon Greenberg was appointed as of July 2012 by the ICC World Council as one of two Members of the ICC International Court of Arbitration ("Court") to represent Australia.
Simon's role as a Member of the Court will involve attending the Court Sessions (both Plenary and Committee sessions), preparing reports, and participating in the decision making process.
The Court is the decision making body in the ICC arbitration system and Simon Greenberg was appointed upon the nomination of ICC Australia.
The Court is the independent arbitration body of the ICC, with its own Statutes and Internal Rules. Composed of members from over ninety countries, the Court is the world’s most international dispute resolution institution. It was created in 1923 as the arbitration body of the ICC.
The Court has a membership that currently totals over 125 individuals, most of whom are proposed for office by ICC National Committees or Groups. Court members are generally arbitration specialists and/or experts in commercial and international investment law.
