Clifford Chance promotes Francis Edwards, Ashvin Seetulsingh and Jean Yu to the partnership in Asia Pacific from 1 May

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has announced the election of three lawyers to the partnership for the Asia Pacific region: derivatives specialist Francis Edwards in the Hong Kong office, energy and infrastructure advisor Ashvin Seetulsingh, who will be relocating to the Hong Kong office from London, and corporate expert Jean Yu in the Beijing office. They join the 28 partners added across Asia Pacific since 1 May 2011.

"I am very pleased to announce these three new partners for Asia Pacific," said Peter Charlton, Clifford Chance's Regional Managing Partner, Asia Pacific. " Francis, Ashvin and Jean all have very diverse backgrounds which reflect key areas of activity in the region, and evolving client needs. They already play leadership roles in their practice areas and have excellent legal skills for the Asia Pacific market.

"Becoming a partner at Clifford Chance is a huge accomplishment. I welcome them to the partnership and look forward to their continued contribution as thought leaders in the firm."

The firm announced a total of 27 lawyers to the partnership from the firm's 34-office global network. More than a third of this year's promotions are in key growth economies including Asia Pacific. The promotions take effect from 1 May 2012 and will bring the total number of partners in the firm to 593.
