Clifford Chance dominates the top tier in Chambers Global 2012
For the fourth year running, Clifford Chance has achieved more tier one cross-border rankings than any other firm in Chambers Global 2012, The Client's Guide. Clifford Chance received 15 tier one rankings in the Guide's Global tables – three more than the next law firm.
Clifford Chance achieved a total of 41 tier one rankings across all the various regional tables published in the Guide, versus 33 for the next law firm. These regional rankings cover performance across key sectors and practices in Global, Africa, Asia-Pacific, Central & Eastern Europe, Europe-wide, Latin America and Middle East tables.
The firm also excelled in many of the country-by-country rankings published in Chambers Global 2012 – marking Clifford Chance's strength in combining international standards with local expertise.
David Childs, Clifford Chance Managing Partner said, "We are determined to lead the international legal elite, so we are delighted that, once again, our reputation for providing first-rate advice on cross-border instructions has been recognised in Chambers Global, reflecting both the breadth and depth of the firm's offering as we enter new markets and focus on key sectors."
According to Chambers & Partners, the Global Guide only ranks those firms with truly international practices; the clients of a globally-ranked firm are likely to have a need for expertise across the world.
The qualities against which rankings are assessed include technical legal ability, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by the client.
