Clifford Chance advises Siecop on its location in the Port of Duisburg
Clifford Chance advised the Japanese steel service center Siecop on its location in the Port of Duisburg, the largest inland port in the world. The company is taking over a 22,000 m² site at the foot of the Oberbürgermeister-Lehr bridge in Duisburg-Ruhrort (Germany). The premises consist of an administrative building and a 5,500m² hall for steel processing and Europe-wide distribution.
Siecop is a subsidiary of Tokyo based Metal One Corporation. Metal One, a company of Mitsubishi Corporation and Sojitz Corporation, is a Japanese integrated steel trading company with 61 offices and 159 consolidated business investment affiliates in Japan and overseas. In fiscal 2010, the company's consolidated sales totaled Yen 3,331.6 billion.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat den japanischen Stahldienstleister Siecop bei seiner Ansiedlung im Duisburger Hafen, dem größten Binnenhafen der Welt, beraten. Das Unternehmen übernimmt ein 22.000 Quadratmeter großes Grundstück am Fuße der Oberbürgermeister-Lehr-Brücke in Duisburg-Ruhrort. Das Betriebsgelände umfasst ein Verwaltungsgebäude und eine 5.500 Quadratmeter große Halle zur Stahlverarbeitung und europaweiten Distribution.
Siecop ist ein Tochterunternehmen der Metal One Corporation mit Hauptsitz in Tokio. Metal One, die zur Mitsubishi Corporation und Sojitz Corporation gehört, ist ein Stahlhandelsunternehmen mit 61 Niederlassungen und 159 geschäftsinvestierenden Tochterkonzernen in Japan und im Ausland. Im Geschäftsjahr 2010 belief sich der Konzernumsatz des Unternehmens auf insgesamt 3.331,6 Milliarden Yen (etwa 30,8 Milliarden Euro).
