Clifford Chance advises Aberdeen Immobilien on the sale of the Marriott building in Frankfurt
Clifford Chance advised Aberdeen Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH on the sale of the "Westendgate" building in Frankfurt to RFR Holding and its co-investor, Stenham Property.
The "Westendgate" building, located in the centre of Frankfurt, is well-known as the home of the Frankfurt Marriott Hotel. It is 160 metres in height and has around 55,000 m² of floor space, including 600 rooms and 27,000 m² of office space.
The "Westendgate" was completed in 1976 and was one of Frankfurt's first and most imposing skyscrapers. Aberdeen bought it in 1988 on behalf of its open-end real estate fund, Degi Europa (formerly "Grundwert-Fonds") and has completely renovated it over the past two years.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat die Aberdeen Immobilien Kapitalanlagegesellschaft mbH beim Verkauf des Frankfurter Hochhauses „Westendgate“ an die RFR Holding und den Co-Investor Stenham Property beraten.
Das an der Messe gelegene "Westendgate" ist über die Region hinaus bekannt als Standort des Frankfurter Marriott-Hotels. Das 160 Meter hohe Gebäude umfasst insgesamt rund 55.000 Quadratmeter Fläche, 600 Zimmer und 27.000 Quadratmeter Bürofläche.
Das "Westendgate" war bei seiner Fertigstellung 1976 eines der ersten und markantesten Hochhäuser Frankfurts. Aberdeen hatte das Objekt im Jahr 1988 für seinen offenen Immobilienfonds Degi Europa (damals noch Grundwert-Fonds) erworben und in den letzten zwei Jahren grundlegend saniert.
