Clifford Chance advises Equiventus Group on the sale of a wind farm project in Poland
Clifford Chance advised Equiventus Group on the sale of its 50MW wind farm project in Poland to ENEA S.A., one of the largest Polish utilities. The wind farm is located in Bardy/Dygowo, West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-west Poland. ENEA will acquire all shares in the project company of the wind farm developed by Equiventus Group.
Equiventus Group is currently completing the construction of the project together with its cooperation partner Vestas, a leading global wind turbine manufacturer. The transaction is scheduled for completion upon commissioning in February 2012.
Equiventus Group is a wind energy investment holding based in Luxembourg, with offices in London, Zurich and Munich.
The Clifford Chance team was lead by partner Dr. Bernd Meyer-Witting and included counsel Markus Muhs, senior associates Dr. Michael Heise and Frederik Mühl (all Corporate, Frankfurt), as well as counsel Tomasz Janas and senior associate Tomasz Derda (both Corporate, Warsaw).
Clifford Chance already advised Equiventus Group on the acquisition of the project and of minority interests in eight wind energy projects – five in Italy and three in Poland.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat die Equiventus Gruppe beim Verkauf ihres 50-MW-Windparkprojekts in Polen an ENEA S.A., einen der größten polnischen Stromversorger, beraten. Der Windpark befindet sich im Nordwesten Polens, in Bardy/Dygowo, Woiwodschaft Westpommern. ENEA wird alle Anteile an der Projektgesellschaft des von der Equiventus Gruppe entwickelten Windparks erwerben.
Die Anlage wird von der Equiventus Gruppe gemeinsam mit ihrem Kooperationspartner Vestas, einem weltweit führenden Windturbinenhersteller, fertiggestellt. Die vollständige Übergabe ist zum Zeitpunkt der Inbetriebnahme im Februar 2012 vorgesehen.
