Clifford Chance fosters China Arbitration in Europe

Clifford Chance, one of the founders of the Chinese-European Legal Association, gave substantial support to organize the first China Arbitration Day. More than 100 legal experts and business representatives discussed China related topics on "Trade, Transportation and Arbitration”.

The conference, jointly organised by the Chinese European Arbitration Center (“CEAC”) and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (“CIETAC”) was held in Hamburg on 20 May 2011. The high ranking Chinese delegation consisted of 12 legal experts from the Chinese Supreme People’s Court, CIETAC and the Chinese Maritime Arbitration Association. Clifford Chance Partner, Thomas Weimann, Vice-President of the Chinese-European Legal Association, gave a speech on CEAC Arbitration.
