As a result of the ongoing infrastructure difficulties in Tokyo, the Clifford Chance office will now be closed until Tuesday 22 March. Our staff remain available through the firm's remote working systems, including email and Blackberry, but given the interruptions to the local power supply, some delays in communication may be experienced. 

The firm's management continues to keep the situation under close review. Our priority remains the safety and wellbeing of our staff and their families.

The Clifford Chance Foundation has made an immediate donation to the Japanese Red Cross, to support relief efforts on the ground and further funds from the Foundation, and from staff fundraising efforts, will be directed to charities identified by our Japanese colleagues.

The events in Japan have been truly shocking and our thoughts are with all those affected by the tragedy.
