Clifford Chance advises Deutsche Bank on a EUR 3.5bn refinancing of Bayer AG
The international law firm Clifford Chance advised a banking syndicate with Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. as facility agent on a five-year revolving credit facility for Bayer AG in the amount of EUR 3.5 billion with options for an extension of up to two further years. Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas and The Royal Bank of Scotland were mandated to as Coordinators for the syndication of the credit facility.
The credit facility serves general corporate purposes of Bayer and will refinance an existing EUR 3.5 billion facility from March 2005 ahead of its maturity.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat ein Bankenkonsortium mit der Deutschen Bank Luxembourg S.A. als Facility Agent bei einer revolvierenden Kreditlinie für die Bayer AG mit fünfjähriger Laufzeit und mit Verlängerungsoptionen um insgesamt bis zu zwei Jahren in Höhe von 3,5 Milliarden Euro beraten. Die Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas und The Royal Bank of Scotland waren als Coordinator mit der Syndizierung der Kreditlinie beauftragt.
Mit dieser allgemeinen Unternehmenszwecken dienenden Kreditlinie refinanziert Bayer vorzeitig eine bestehende Kreditlinie über 3,5 Milliarden Euro vom März 2005.
