Clifford Chance advises banking syndicate on the EUR 500 million financing of GAZPROM Germania GmbH
The international law firm Clifford Chance advised a banking syndicate led by Commerzbank AG and UniCredit Bank AG in relation to a credit facility for GAZPROM Germania GmbH in the amount of EUR 500 million. The credit facility was successfully syndicated and the interest of additional banks led to considerable oversubscription. The credit facility can be used for general corporate purposes of the GAZPROM Germania Group as well as for the financing of capital expenditures and acquisitions.
The syndicate also comprises Deutsche Bank AG, ING Bank N.V., KfW-IPEX Bank GmbH, LBBW Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, Raiffeisen Bank International AG, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG.
GAZPROM Germania GmbH is based in Berlin and operates in all areas of the natural gas industry. The GAZPROM Germania Group is made up of more than 50 companies in over 20 countries in Europe, Central Asia and North America as well as in Singapore.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat ein Bankenkonsortium unter Führung der Commerzbank AG und der UniCredit Bank AG im Zusammenhang mit der Einräumung einer Kreditlinie für die GAZPROM Germania GmbH in Höhe von 500 Millionen Euro beraten. Die Kreditlinie wurde erfolgreich syndiziert, und das Interesse zusätzlicher Banken führte zu einer beträchtlichen Überzeichnung. Die Kreditlinie dient allgemeinen Unternehmenszwecken der GAZPROM Germania Gruppe sowie der Finanzierung von Investitionsausgaben und Akquisitionen.
Dem Konsortium gehören auch die Deutsche Bank AG, die ING Bank N.V., die KfW-IPEX-Bank GmbH, die LBBW Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, die Raiffeisen Bank International AG, die Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation und die IKB Deutsche Industriebank AG an.
