Today business leaders are responsible not only for their own people but extended, complex and interlinked supply chains of cloud storage, partnership relationships and (in some cases) armies of contingent workers. Elsewhere, connectivity is driving employee activism and demands for corporate purpose.
Our research shows that the majority of executives believe that understanding the legal and regulatory issues associated with advanced technology is essential to success, but only half say they have are high levels of expertise at board level. And a similar dearth of board expertise is reported when it comes to core tech elements such as big data and automation. If workforces need to change, boards do too.
In collaboration with Forbes Insights, we surveyed 300 senior c-suite executives from $1 billion+ companies on their hopes and fears for tech-driven growth.
