Consultations on a Tailored Regime for UK Captive Insurance

On 14 July 2026, the Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) and the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) published proposals for a dedicated UK captive insurance regime. The proposals are set out in PRA Consultation Paper CP11/26 and FCA Consultation Paper CP26/29 and, taken together, represent the most significant development in UK captive insurance regulation to date.
