Mexico Announces Groundbreaking Transmission Line Tenders

Mexico’s Ministry of Energy (SENER) and state-owned utility the Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE) recently published the bid terms of the first two transmission lines to be awarded after the 2014 energy reform: the Baja California interconnection transmission line, for the interconnection of the Baja California System with the National Grid, and the Ixtepec – Yautepec transmission line for the interconnection of Oaxaca’s Itsmo with the center of Mexico.
