Clifford Chance advises BentallGreenOak on financing for the acquisition and redevelopment of a shopping complex in Berlin

Clifford Chance has advised real estate investor BentallGreenOak on financing the acquisition of the "Boulevard Berlin" shopping centre in Berlin. Investors Castlelake, York Capital and Dunman Capital acquired the property from its current owner Klépierre. The buyers will use the loan provided by BentallGreenOak to finance the acquisition and redevelopment costs.

The "Boulevard Berlin", with over 100 retail units, is one of the largest shopping centres in Germany. The plan is to create a mixed use complex including restaurants and office space.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat den Real Estate Investor BentallGreenOak bei der Finanzierung des Erwerbs des Einkaufszentrums "Boulevard Berlin" beraten. Die Investoren Castlelake und York Capital und Dunman Capital erwarben das Grundstück vom bisherigen Eigentümer Klépierre. Das Darlehen von BentallGreenOak nutzen die Käufer neben der Finanzierung des Erwerbs auch zur Sanierung des Einkaufszentrums.

Das "Boulevard Berlin" in Berlin Steglitz zählt mit über 100 Einzelhandelsgeschäften zu den größten Einkaufszentren in Deutschland. Es soll künftig gemischt genutzt werden und unter anderem auch Büroflächen und Gastronomie umfassen.
