Clifford Chance advises CONREN Land KVG on the acquisition of two Verianos funds
Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised CONREN Land AG's capital management company on acquiring two closed-end special property funds from Verianos. Verianos filed for insolvency in July 2024. The property funds invest in residential properties and office/commercial buildings in Spain and the fund investors are predominantly from Germany and Italy. In close co-operation with the CONREN Land team, the acquisition was structured and implemented within a few weeks, allowing the liquidation of the property funds to be avoided in the interests of the investors.
Investment manager CONREN Land implements investment programmes for institutional and private investors on the German, Spanish and UK real estate markets with a focus on office properties.
This is the second time that the Clifford Chance team has managed to rescue a property fund belonging to an insolvent capital management company with assistance from other service providers in the interests of the investors.

Die globale Anwaltskanzlei Clifford Chance hat die Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft (KVG) des Investment Managers CONREN Land AG bei der Übernahme von zwei geschlossenen Immobilien-Spezialfonds (Investment-KGs) von Verianos beraten. Verianos hatte im Juli 2024 Insolvenz angemeldet. Die Immobilienfonds investieren in Wohnimmobilien bzw. Büro- und Geschäftshäuser in Spanien. Die Fondsanleger stammen überwiegend aus Deutschland und Italien. In enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Team von CONREN Land wurde die Übernahme binnen weniger Wochen strukturiert und umgesetzt. Die Abwicklung der Immobilienfonds konnte dadurch im Interesse der Anleger abgewendet werden.
CONREN Land ist ein Investmentunternehmen mit Fokus auf Büroimmobilien, das Investitionsprogramme für institutionelle und private Kapitalgeber auf dem deutschen, spanischen und englischen Immobilienmarkt umsetzt.
Für das Clifford Chance-Team (siehe unten) ist dies bereits das zweite Mal, dass es gelungen ist, einen Immobilienfonds einer insolventen Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft mit anderen Dienstleistern im Interesse der Anleger fortzuführen.
