Clifford Chance advises TPG Rise Climate on its Series D investment in Enpal GmbH

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised TPG Rise Climate on its Series D investment in Enpal GmbH.

Enpal will receive a further 215 million EUR in growth capital from renowned investors. The Series D funding round is being led by TPG Rise Climate, the dedicated climate investing strategy of TPG’s global impact investing platform TPG Rise. With Westly Group and Activate Capital, two additional major climate investors are coming on board. Existing investors such as HV Capital (with support from the European Investment Bank), SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Princeville Climate Technology, also participated, once again increasing their commitments.

The transaction demonstrates Clifford Chance's market-leading position as advisor to global investors in renewable energy platforms.

The cross-border deal team was led by Charlotte Madden in London, supported by Shimin Lee, Gillis Waelkens, Sabrina Brecher, and Adam Clifton. Support from Germany was provided by Mark Aschenbrenner, Samuel Frommelt, Loreen Kiehl, Jana Landsittel and Maja Riedrich. Support from Amsterdam came from Tim Heerschop, Jeroen Kolthof and Femke Buijs. In Luxembourg, Saskia Myners and Camille Fantozzi worked on the deal.
