Clifford Chance advises AEW on the acquisition of a serviced apartment complex near Frankfurt
Clifford Chance has advised global real estate investor AEW on the acquisition of a serviced apartment complex in Offenbach near Frankfurt. The complex is still under construction and will offer a total of 204 apartments. AEW acquired the project, which is scheduled to open in 2024 under the name "Rioca Hafeninsel Posto 8", from iLive Group on behalf of the EUROCORE fund under a sale and leaseback transaction.
The iLive Group will operate the complex in the vibrant Offenbach harbour district and has signed a 20-year leasehold agreement. The aim is to obtain DGNB Gold sustainability certification for the property. This would match the ambitious ESG objectives AEW has set for itself.
Clifford Chance regularly advises AEW on real estate deals, such as the acquisition of the "KölnCubus" office complex in Cologne.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat den globalen Immobilien-Investor AEW beim Erwerb einer im Bau befindlichen Serviced Apartment-Anlage mit 204 Zimmern in Offenbach bei Frankfurt am Main beraten. AEW erwarb das Projekt, das im Jahr 2024 als Rioca Hafeninsel Posto 8 eröffnen soll, von der iLive-Gruppe für den EUROCORE-Fonds im Rahmen einer Sale-and-Lease Back Transaktion.
Die iLive-Gruppe wird die Serviced Apartment-Anlage im beliebten Offenbacher Hafengebiet betreiben und hat einen Pachtvertrag mit 20 Jahren Laufzeit unterzeichnet. Für die Immobilie ist eine DGNB Gold Nachhaltigkeitszertifizierung geplant, womit die Immobilie optimal zu den ehrgeizigen ESG-Zielen von AEW passt.
Clifford Chance berät AEW regelmäßig bei Immobilientransaktionen, wie zum Beispiel beim Erwerb des Bürogebäudes "KölnCubus" in Köln Deutz.
