Clifford Chance advised Gras Savoye – a French subsidiary of Willis Towers Watson Group – on the purchase of Dero Courtage France

Willis Towers Watson, through its French subsidiary Gras Savoye, entered into exclusive negotiations as regards the purchase of 100% of Dero Courtage's share capital, a renowned broker in Le Havre, which has been developing its expertise in business and management risk insurance for over 80 years.

This acquisition will enable Gras Savoye to pursue its strategy of developing and strengthening its insurance brokerage business into a new region, Normandy. It will also allow the integration of talents and specialises expertise in fields such as logistics and port activities, but also in asset management.

The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2018.

The Clifford Chance team that advised Gras Savoye was led by Thierry Schoen, Partner, with the support of Marine Larrue-Duin and Valentin Morichon from the Paris office.

Willis Towers Watson, à travers sa filiale française Gras Savoye, est entrée en négociation exclusive concernant l'acquisition de 100% du capital de Dero Courtage, société basée au Havre, développant son savoir-faire en assurance des risques d’entreprise et des dirigeants depuis plus de 80 ans.

Cette acquisition permettra notamment à Gras Savoye de poursuivre sa stratégie de développement et de renforcement de ses activités de courtage en assurance dans une nouvelle région, la Normandie. Elle permettra également l’intégration de talents et d’expertises pointus dans des domaines comme les métiers logistiques et portuaires mais également la gestion de patrimoine.

La transaction devrait être finalisée d'ici la fin de l'année 2018.
