Cosentino had previously been a partner at Clifford Chance from January 2012 to June 2015, where he advised clients in connection with mergers, tender offers, auctions, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures and restructurings. He has represented acquirers, targets, boards of directors, special committees, investment banks and investors involved in intricate negotiated and unsolicited public and private transactions.

"Joe has broad industry experience and a strong track record in M&A advising both domestic and multinational clients – we are delighted to welcome him back to the Firm," said Evan Cohen, Regional Managing Partner of the Americas. "In a little more than a year, our Americas practice has added nine lateral partners who are helping us build additional capabilities in areas of strategic importance in the US. Joe's familiarity with our team will allow him to begin contributing from day one."

Americas Corporate head David Brinton concurred, saying, "Joe's arrival strengthens our core M&A practice and ability to penetrate the Insurance and PE sectors. His impressive deal list and experience in advising top industry clients builds upon our Firm's strengths, both in the US market and around the world. It's great to have him back."

"The Firm's global platform, culture of collaboration and ability to deliver seamless advice are attributes clients value," said Cosentino."There is real growth and innovation happening at Clifford Chance. I'm very pleased to rejoin old friends and become a part of these exciting developments."

Cosentino rejoins Clifford Chance from Greenberg Traurig.
