Clifford Chance advises NTT DATA on acquisition of iPay88 of Malaysia

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has advised NTT DATA Corporation, (NTT DATA) on its acquisition of iPay 88 Sdn. Bhd, a company chiefly involved in the online payment service and payment solution provider in Malaysia, through its subsidiary NTT DATA Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. This transaction aims to combine NTT DATA’s solutions and know-how in the payment field. The collaboration will accelerate the further expansion of NTT DATA's payment business in Malaysia and in Asia Pacific.

Partner Tatsuhiko Kamiyama led on the deal and was supported by senior associate Masafumi Shikakura and associate Yvonne Zhong.

NTT DATA Corporation is a Japanese system integration company and a subsidiary of Nippon Telegraph and Telephone. Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Public Corporation, a predecessor of NTT, started Data Communications business in 1967.
