Clifford Chance promotes three to senior associate in Australia
Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has promoted three of its Australian lawyers to the position of senior associate:
- Gemma Bentley, Perth, specialising in corporate and projects law
- Jerrem Ng, Sydney, specialising in litigation and dispute resolution and corporate
- Rosslyn Warren, Sydney, specialising in litigation and dispute resolution
"I congratulate our new senior associates. We have ambitious plans for our practices in Australia and in Asia Pacific, and developing our own talented lawyers is critical to achieving our goals," said Peter Charlton, the firm's Asia Pacific Managing Partner.
In total, 21 lawyers across the firm's eight Asia Pacific offices have been promoted to senior associates in this month's round of promotions.
Rosslyn Warren specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution on such issues as Corporations Act, directors' duties, commercial and contractual disputes, employment disputes, and investigations by regulators. In December 2012, Rosslyn was named "Office Champion of the Year" at Clifford Chance's global Corporate Responsibility Awards for her work in developing community and charitable initiatives in the Sydney office. A graduate of the University of Auckland, she began her career at Hesketh Henry in Auckland, before joining us in October 2010, and is admitted in New Zealand and in New South Wales.
Jerrem Ng specialises in commercial dispute resolution, including Corporations Act matters, commercial and contractual disputes, directors’ duties, equitable claims and trade practices, as well as regulatory investigations (including those relating to corruption and bribery). He also advises on complex corporate matters and schemes of arrangements. A graduate of the University of Western Australia, Jerrem began his career in Perth before joining us in July 2008. He is admitted in New South Wales and Western Australia.
Gemma Bentley specialises in energy, infrastructure and resources law, and has significant expertise in project development and mergers and acquisitions in that sector. A graduate in law of the University of Notre Dame, Gemma began her career with Clayton Utz, before joining us in August 2010 and is admitted in Western Australia. In addition to her legal practice, Gemma also has one year of study outstanding to complete a bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine and surgery at Murdoch University, Western Australia.
