Clifford Chance appoints five counsels
Amsterdam, 28 June 2011 - the Amsterdam office of international law firm Clifford Chance has appointed five associates to counsel: Sylvia van der Heyden, Gijs Kikkert, Line Poliquin, Jan-Joost van Rijsbergen and Steven Verschuur.

Sylvia van der Heyden is a member of the Banking & Finance practice group. Sylvia specialises in banking and finance work, acting for both lenders and sponsors in particular, in relation to acquisition finance (especially media/telecoms), restructurings, structured trade and commodity finance, asset based finance and general syndicated lending.
Gijs Kikkert is a member of the Corporate practice group and candidate civil law notary. Gijs specialises in corporate governance and corporate structures, with multi-jurisdictional and EU cross-border aspects in particular
Line Poliquin is a member of the Corporate practice group and member of our Global TMT group. Line specialises in M&A, outsourcing and joint ventures, in particular in the TMT sector.
Jan-Joost van Rijsbergen is a member of the Banking & Finance practice group. Jan-Joost specialises in real estate and hotel finance. Jan-Joost also participated in the postgraduate programme Financing and Security Rights at the Grotius Academy.
Steven Verschuur heads the Amsterdam antitrust team. Steven specialises in competition law, state aid and public procurement law and also has relevant work experience in the energy and healthcare sectors.
