Consultation on new Hong Kong legislation for Continuing Powers of Attorney

The Department of Justice published its long-awaited consultation paper on the Continuing Powers of Attorney Bill on 28 December 2017. It is proposed that a Continuing Powers of Attorney Ordinance (CPA Ordinance) be enacted to introduce a new continuing power of attorney (CPA) regime covering decisions in relation to an individual's personal care as well as their property and financial affairs
